Career Advising
Career Services offers in-person and virtual small-group advising sessions to support students with resumes/CVs, cover letters, job/internship search strategies, interview preparation, networking/ connections, career exploration, and getting Into graduate school. For the full lineup of advising session offerings, students can visit the Career Services calendar within the "Events & Calendars" tab of myPLNU or click the Advising button below.
Students enrolled in Graduate, Adult Undergraduate, and Adult Degree Completion programs can also register for appointments for virtual career advising. Click here to learn more.
Handshake
Handshake is a national job and internship search platform targeted toward early career job hunters.
Through Handshake students can receive personalized job recommendations and connect with employers for one-on-one conversations.
A profile is created for every PLNU student upon enrollment. After accessing their profile, students can complete and customize their profile with information about their experience, education, and skills.

Connections
Connections are an important part of expanding your network and exploring career opportunities. In fact, more than 70% of professionals get hired at companies where they already have a connection (Source: LinkedIn).
After creating a LinkedIn account, students can customize their profile with information about their experience, education, and skills. Students can leverage the PLNU LinkedIn Alumni Network to connect with over 24,000 alumni and learn more about individuals, organizations, or industries that align with their interests and goals.
Additionally, alumni can join LomaConnect and leverage PLNU's Global community to make connections, expand their network, and seek or offer mentorship, assistance, and guidance.
